How is a model plane built?

I need to build a plane that can fly...I have to tie one wing to a string, and the string will be spun around using electricity. The plane needs to lift off in one revolution, and fly at an even level. It's a school project.

What I"m asking here is, what factors need to be considered when drawing blueprints for one? And how do I incorporate them in? Which materials are best?

Thanks very much! Any help would be appreciated.|||Sweetheart, the biggest factor is that it needs to be lightweight, and the lightest model airplanes are built from either foam or balsa wood and tissue. You can get either a foam or balsa/tissue airplane kit at any hobby shop. Some are complicated to build, some are very simple. You can even get those toy balsa types that you slide the wings in. Some are even made of foam. You can design your own, but there's a lot of trial and error to get the thing to fly.|||Try a hobby shop or the hobby department of a department or discount store. Most hobby shops will have knowledgeable sales people that can help you put together what you need. Trying to design and build it from scratch will be a difficult project.

If you really need to do that, or if you live in Perfection, NV, then you can look on the internet. Try a search on "flying model airplane."
